Blue Crab

I love the shade of blue in the blue shell crab so much but I found it very difficult to recreate. I bought three types of blue pigments to capture the vibrant blue of the blue crab shell. I mixed thalo blue with ultramarine and made several layers to get the saturation. Since crabs don’t have much expressive personality, I don’t know if I’ll paint another one.
