Pocket Pit

This pet portrait is a painting of my foster-fail Sweet Tea. She is a pocket pit – part pit/part Tootsie Roll. As my foster, she came with a lot of baggage from being mistreated. You can see the perpetual uncertainty in her eyes. This paper bag painting is the first pet portrait painting I attempted. I painted it with one brush and 15 year old craft acrylic paint.
